How To: Broadcast an Audio webstream using Broadcast Sessions

ListenToChurch allows you to pass on the audio from web-based video streams through our Broadcast Sessions functionality. It will look like a video session, but only the audio will be presented.

To set up your Broadcast Session, log into ListenToChurch with your Manager credentials, and select Manage from the drop-down.

Once in the Administrative Site, go to Broadcast Sessions. Click the button labelled Add Broadcast Session.

In Add Broadcast Session:

  • Enter the username to be associated with the Broadcast Session

  • select the mount you wish to use to broadcast the stream (must be one not in use currently or during the broadcast window).

  • Schedule the time/date of the broadcast.

  • The conversion server can typically remain as default.

  • Enter a description for the stream (optional).

Save the Broadcast Session.

Once the broadcast session is created, it is ready to be published. Click Publish.

Allow the browser permission to access the microphone and camera (though the camera feed will not be presented).

Though the camera feed will be seen on your PC, the stream will present externally as a black screen, and pass on the audio. When ready to proceed, click Start Publishing to begin the broadcast. Share your voice with the world!
